Fraud Cafe's Story

Fraud Cafe was created by William J. Pinilis, a consumer fraud lawyer, within the law firm of PinilisHalpern. Mr. Pinilis wanted to create a digital forum where people could learn about and discuss fraud-related issues. Mr. Pinilis recognized that digital technology and social media offered enormous benefits to people within innumerable industries and with relation to innumerable issues. Mr. Pinilis wanted Fraud Cafe to do the same with relation to the plethora of fraud-related matters. Fraud Cafe is a source of education, discussion and, to many people victimized by fraud and otherwise, peace of mind.

William J. Pinilis is the Founder of Fraud Cafe. Mr. Pinilis is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. He concentrates primarily on handling consumer claims, complex commercial litigation, class action litigation, and personal injury/negligence actions involving significant injuries. Mr. Pinilis has served as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall School of Law since 1995, where he currently teaches Consumer Law and New Jersey Practice. He has also appeared on Tru TV (formerly Court TV), and lectured with the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, where he has lectured on Consumer Law and the mandatory continuing legal education course Civil Trial Preparation. Mr. Pinilis long appeared as a regular guest on the Troubleshooter Show, a nationally syndicated consumer advocacy radio talk show.
